Description
A 41-year-old Slovak pilot launched Tuesday morning from the Bischlinghöhe in Werfenweng using a speedglider wing. According to police and eyewitness reports, the pilot was observed performing a flight maneuver close to the ground.
Witnesses reported that after a high-speed maneuver near terrain, the pilot impacted a steep slope. The collision occurred at high speed and in close proximity to the ground.
Emergency services were alerted immediately by witnesses. The emergency physician was unable to resuscitate the pilot, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
