Description
The pilot did a quick stop in Stubai to get used to flying her speed wing again. She wanted to avoid Kronplatz for that to have less pilots in the air.
On Friday morning around 10:00am she crashed into a tree within the forest and was likely immediately dead. Weather conditions were perfect and material failure seems unlikely. Nobody witnessed the accident, but a low manoeuvre or loss of control seems likely.
As she was alone, nobody reported her missing.
The wing was hard to spot from the air and only at 17:00 rescue services were informed, after a hiker discovered her and her wing hanging in a tree. It was only possible to recover her dead body.
