Description
A 30-year-old skier had a fatal acccident on Sunday afternoon (21 December 2014) while speed riding in Hautes-Pyrénées (France).
The young man had initially made a first descent without difficulty, between the Pic du Midi and the Col de Sencours. But in the afternoon, "on his second descent, he fell for a yet-unexplained reason", explained one of the police mountain rescuers. He then fell, entangled in his glider, "over a 300-meter drop and hit a rock". The CRS Gavarnie officers came to his rescue with a helicopter, but could only certify his death.
