Description
On Sunday 17th September, 41-year-old Manfred Tichy had a fatal speed glider accident in the vicinity of Mt Blanc in France.
Details of the accident are not know other than he was trying to flying over a ridge and this unfortunately failed. This resulted in him crashing into the mountain.
He died still at the accident scene before the arrival of the first responders to his injuries.
He was an experienced paraglider and tandem pilot as well as a speed glider pilot.
